Moving Here

Written by Constance Hayden

When we moved here I had no idea who to contact for any other utilities. We have listed the old house for so long I didn't even know what there was to think about… My husband is the one who pays all the bills. I was really afraid I was going to accidentally leave on something important at the old house and we would get a bill after a month for service never received! But anyway, I went to http://www.direc4u.com/ to look at TV and I talked to our realtor about who to use for our energy needs and I've even set up a home security system without any help from anyone. Moving is really complicated and there are a lot of things to keep in mind but I think the key is keeping yourself focused and organize so you don't forget anything. So far I haven't come across anything I missed but who knows what's just waiting for me to get comfortable before it rears its ugly head and I know someone money!

How Your Garden Grows

Evangelist D. L. Moody had just started preaching a sermon on Galatians 6:7 when a man in the audience stood up and shouted, "I don't believe it."

In 2005 scientists germinated a date palm seed that was recovered from Herod the Great's palace atop Masada in the Judean wilderness--making it around 2,000 years old. And a 1,300-year-old lotus seed recovered from China was germinated in 1995.* These remarkable examples of preservation, however, are more the exception than the rule. Seed companies today don't normally guarantee the viability of their seed for more than a few years.

Lots of things determine the quality of a harvest: the quality of the seed, the number of seeds sown, the quality of the soil, and the amounts of moisture and nutrients provided. And the same is true with spiritual harvest. God's laws of the harvest apply to the sowing we perform. If our seeds are our good works, our financial investments, our prayers, our study, and our service and worship, then quality and quantity are important. No farmer would sow haphazardly and expect a beautiful, bountiful harvest. And neither should we.

As stewards, we have been entrusted with seeds to sow. And as we sow, so shall we reap.
"Anyone can count the seeds in one apple, but only God can count the apples in one seed." Unknown

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 2 Corinthians 9:6 KJV

Dispose Those Junks

Hubby and I had a house in Alvarado and that's where we stayed when hubby and I flew to Texas from the Philippines. He bought that house in the 90's. It was an old trailer house but very spacious. It was erected in a 0.62 acre lot surrounded with a lot of oak trees. When I just arrived there, I kept myself cleaning and beautifying the house and its surroundings. My, that house was so messy and there were lots of junk inside and outside the house. With the help of my hubby, we cleaned the inside of the house first by vacuuming the carpet and throwing away lots of junk. Our trash was full of junks every time I sorted out the stuffs inside the cabinets. Had I known about Katy Junk removal then it wouldn't have been a problem. But that's too late now. We already sold that house after a year of staying there. My step-daughter bought it from us.

The best thing I can do is to inform my step-daughter about the above website that if she needs to get rid of some of her junks, she should call them and they would be happy to come and pick up those unwanted junks in her house. Me, I don't want a lot of junks in my house. It will just occupy more space and make the house cluttered. I want a spacious and orderly house. Better dispose those junks or give to those who need it.

Caught Like A Monkey

There's an ancient parable, "The Monkey's Fist," that teaches a profound lesson. Native tribes would catch monkeys by hollowing out coconuts, filling them with bait, then tethering them to trees to lure the monkeys. When the monkey reached into the small opening in the coconut, his hand fit. But once his fist was full of the bait, he couldn't retrieve it--the monkey was trapped. The lesson for all of us is that the coconut was not the monkey's undoing, but rather his greedy unwillingness to let go of the bait.

I know a lot of people like that. They clutch their material possessions so tightly in the attitude of their hearts that worry handicaps them, negatively impacting their faith, their family and friends, and their future. If only they would put God first, giving Him what belongs to Him--their time, talents, and treasures--then they could quit worrying about their future.

If you are grasping something tightly right now, you're in a trap and need to release your grip. There's not a better time to let go. Open your hands now. God has incredible gifts and resources for you--more than you could ever hold in your fists.

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:21 KJV

Amazing Deals at NoMoreRack

I like to shop in the internet and look for great discounts and amazing deals. I don't like to buy if the item is not on sale. I like to save some money when shopping. Most of the things I bought online were shoes, vitamins, clothes, eyeglasses and a lot more. I have bought quite a few stuffs online already and before I buy I will do some product reviews too especially if what I'm buying is electronics. I just came across this online shop called No More Rack and they have pretty good deals. I was reading their nomorerack reviews to learn more about their products. I was so amazed to see some free deals but to my dismay they are all sold out. I love those freebies and I hope I can have one next time.

I would definitely bookmark No More Rack and shop here for the things I love. Imagine, they offer 80 to 95% off the regular retail price. It's almost a giveaway! This is not a nomorerack scam, just a handful of unbeatable deals! I am saving my blogging money to buy a Louis Vuitton bag because I know this bag is so pricey. I can't believe No More Rack offers Insanity Deals and the said bag was 96% off and it was only $18.10 from it's original price which was $450 and it's sold. I would definitely visit No More Rack everyday to look for their Insanity Deals. Who knows they will offer another LV bag next time.
