Blessing From The Lord

Hubby and I have no kids of our own. I was not blessed to have one but my hubby have 5 kids in his first marriage. This is one of my frustrations in life, having no kids. I envy those people who have their own kids. I wanted to adopt one from my sibling's kids but my late sis have only 2 sons and my two brothers have one daughter each. Hubby and I are very fond of Vernice, my brother's only daughter. Though we love Faith too, my other niece, but we have more bonding time with Vernice because we baby-sit her and we live in the same house with her parents. If only she has another sibling then we would want to adopt her. She calls my hubby "daddy" and she calls me "mommy". What a blessing!

Vernice is a sweet and lovable girl and she turned three last July 28th. Her parents had a celebration for her birthday and they bought some kids birthday party supplies before the said celebration. We tried to help by buying two roll cakes and I can say that we really enjoyed eating those delicious cakes. The celebration was only for us 3 siblings and families, exclusively. My brother cooked spicy fried chicken, beef adobo and the famous pancit. I cooked maja blanca, so yummy! My brother took off from work the whole day and did the cooking but my sister-in-law had to work. Vernice is so blessed to have loving parents who love her and she have me and hubby who love her as well. You can't help loving the kid, she is something else. She is a happy baby, so lovable and as hubby said she is a mess but I consider her as a blessing from the Lord. She is the baby that I didn't have.
